In order to sway voters in the Upper East Region in favour of the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, some of his followers have established what they are calling a 'Rapid Response Unit' (RRU) for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB).
It was believed that the RRU for DMB, which is made up of grassroots members of the NPP, would promote friendly efforts for Dr. Bawumia's win in the Presidential primaries. The RRU for DMB shares and identifies with the Vice President's vision, mission, value, and leadership styles.
Mr. Filson Awankua, the Convener of the RRU for DMB, stated that the group's name was carved from the agile principles and methodologies that employed technology to fast-track resolution of problems in parallel with Dr. Bawumia's vision of digitization during the inauguration event that took place in Bolgatanga.
"It is the determination and good will of the Unit to deploy all available arsenal, strategies, and resources to ensure the actualization of its dream," he added. "It is the good will of the Unit to ensure the actualization of its dream."
Mr. Awankua stated that the Unit will continue its operations and programmes with the participation of all relevant stakeholders in order to promote awareness of the Vice President in the Region.
You can rest assured that every house, door, market, traditional area, clan, community, constituency, and media interaction will be utilised to the fullest extent possible in order to produce favourable results. In his words, "We shall do everything in our power to extol the virtues of our candidate."
The Convenor stated that the Rapid Response Unit for the DMB will produce "pure, factual, and positive messages with rapid response technologies and systems on a periodic basis."
This is due to the fact that we are inspired by the genuine and exemplary leadership skills possessed by the Vice President. "His honesty, incorruptibility, sacrifice and perseverance, and leadership style requires the support of all, and we are ready," he added. "His leadership style requires the support of all."
The Regional Minister, Mr. Stephen Yakubu, asked the members of the organisation to be true to their primary mission and to ensure that they vigorously campaigned for the Vice President to win the primaries and lead them into the general elections in 2024. Mr. Yakubu also urged the members of the organisation to remain true to their core mandate.
He expressed concern that the NPP only held one seat in the Region and urged supporters of the Party to put in a lot of effort to ensure that they won more seats in the elections of 2024, stressing that "The Future of this country depends on the NPP winning 2024."
The Regional Minister stated that the NPP gave more critical attention to the welfare of northern residents than any other Party, and that the NPP frequently rewarded hard effort, saying, "This Party pays for hard work, so let us work to ensure that we retain power."
A number of municipal and district chief executives, as well as regional and constituency executives, were present for the event. Also in attendance was Madam Tangoba Abayage, who had most recently served as Regional Minister.
