Liverpool are planning to sign a long-term deal to replace Andy Robertson. And they have identified Brighton & Hove Albion defender Pervis Estupinan, 25, as a potential target.

Estupinan has had a decent performance at Brighton since Marc Cucurella left and could be a quality deal for the Reds. Liverpool currently have Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as options at left back.

The Greek international has struggled in regular time at Anfield and has been linked with a move from the club this summer. If Tsimikas eventually leaves, Liverpool will need a new left-back. Estupinan will therefore be a sure sign for the Merseyside club.

The 25-year-old has established himself in the Premier League and should be able to make an immediate impact at Liverpool. The Reds need to look to bring more quality and depth to their defense this season.

Last season, Liverpool looked pretty weak defensively. Andy Robertson hasn't been at his best, and players like Joel Matip and Joe Gomez need improvement. Liverpool are also rumored to be signing a number of center-backs, including Per Schurs, and it remains to be seen if they can sign some good defenders to bolster their backline.

On the other hand, the opportunity to join a big club like Liverpool should be tempting. But it will be interesting to see if the Ecuadorian player wants to cross the line and move to Anfield.

Liverpool recently negotiated a move for Alexis McAllister to Brighton, but it remains to be seen whether they will be able to convince the Seagulls to sell another key player this summer. The Reds hope to bounce back strong after a disappointing 2022–23 season.

Returning to the Champions League is their top priority, and they need to put in the right reinforcements to keep up with their big four rivals. A player like Estupinan could be a useful option for Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp next season. It remains to be seen if the two clubs can agree on a fee.
