Paul Adom Otchere, host of Metro TV' s Good Evening Ghana, has been trending for some weeks now. The popular TV host has come under a barrage of criticisms for his defense of government and clearing them of all corruption related issues. The board chair of the Ghana Airports Company Limited recently came out with a touchscreen analysis that cleared Cecilia Dapaah of any wrongdoing in the ongoing stolen $1 million brouhaha.
This week has seen the Cecilia Dapaah incident take another twist as the Special Prosecutor has dropped information on additional money he found at the house of Cecilia Dapaah' s house at Abelemkpe. The money includes 2. 7 million cedis alongside $590, 000. This has raised eyebrows because already so much had been found to be belonging to the minister. Many called on Paul Adom Otchere to come and defend the new monies found at Cecilia.
According to Paul, he made no errors when he spoke about how $800, 000 belonged to Cecilia Dapaah' s house. Paul started his discussion on Thursday, August 10, 2023, by saying that he never erred with his earlier justifications on his touchscreen analysis on how Cecilia Dapaah got her $1 million. He used the charge sheet and Cecilia Dapaah' s own testimony to buttress his point that he spoke the truth. Interestingly, this was not what many expected Paul to speak about. Many wanted him to explain the source of the new money found in Cecilia' s house.
Paul cleverly avoided that discussion and only insisted that he never lied or defended Cecilia Dapaah in his analysis last week. Instead, Paul went ahead to blast Kissi Agyebeng for coming out like a celebrity with every finding that he comes across. According to Paul, the Special prosecutor failed to do his work and instead leaked information to Joy News about the new money found.
" We don' t say wrong things by the grace of God. Where is all this matter coming from? People are talking and some of the posts have my photos asking me to come and justify. We didn' t say anything wrong. There are so many intelligent young people I work with here and we only give facts here. People are even calling me to come to court and explain. I am tired, " Paul Adom Otchere said.
