Paul Adom Otchere, host of Metro TV' s Good Evening Ghana, has been trending for some weeks now. The popular TV host has come under a barrage of criticisms for his defense of government and clearing them of all corruption related issues. The board chair of the Ghana Airports Company Limited recently came out with a touchscreen analysis that cleared Cecilia Dapaah of any wrongdoing in the ongoing stolen $1 million brouhaha.
This week has seen the Cecilia Dapaah incident take another twist as the Special Prosecutor has dropped information on additional money he found at the house of Cecilia Dapaah' s house at Abelemkpe. The money includes 2. 7 million cedis alongside $590, 000. This has raised eyebrows because already so much had been found to be belonging to the minister.
Many anticipated the defense and justifications that Paul Adom Otchere will put up this time to defend the money found in the minister' s house. Paul had earlier noted that the first $1 million dollars was not solely for the former minister. He had explained that $800, 000 belong to the former minister' s brother. Interestingly, on the Good Evening Ghana show, last night Thursday, August 10, 2023, Paul attacked Kissi Agyebeng for doing a shoddy work regarding investigations about Cecilia Dapaah.
According to Paul, all that the Special Prosecutor does is to wait on the Attorney General to speak and then he feeds on that. Paul questioned why Kissi Agyebeng is interested in gaining popularity by always coming public with certain hidden information. Paul fumed at the way Joy News broke the story of the monies found in Cecilia Dapaah' s house, an information Paul said should have been discreet.
Paul boldly told Kissi Agyebeng to stop leaking or relaying sensitive information to Joy News. It can be recalled that Joy News was one of the media house that stormed Cecilia Dapaah' s house when her house was searched. Again, the Special Prosecutor chose to recently explain his motives on his arrest of Frimpong Boateng on Joy News. The media house has become the favorite of Kiss Agyebeng and Paul finds this bad.
