Kwesi Pratt is one of the celebrated journalists in the country. Indeed, he is one of the pioneer journalists who witnessed the revolutionary and coup days of the country. Kwesi is the managing editor of the Insight newspaper and considered by many as an open and candid reporter. Some within the ruling government however feel that he is more sympathetic to the opposition National Democratic Congress.
Indeed, Kwesi Pratt hasn' t hidden his distrust for the ruling government. He has blasted the government for a number of failed promises. Yesterday, the veteran journalist celebrated his 70th birthday. Interestingly, Kwesi Pratt has been consistent on the Wednesday edition of Randy Abbey' s Good Morning Ghana show. Before the birthday celebration which was attended by a number of dignitaries, Randy took advantage to interview the wife of Kwesi Pratt on the Wednesday edition of the show.
Marian Pratt spoke about their 41 years of marriage and how Kwesi has been a good husband. Interestingly, she mentioned that Kwesi is always at home but on Sundays and he prepares food for the entire family. The tone of Marian Pratt was reluctant to some questions so Randy Abbey had to be doing most of the questioning. Randy asked if Kwesi is good as Marian was saying and questioned if he buys flowers and lingerie for her.
This got a long silence from Marian who noted that his husband is a good cook but doesn' t buy her flowers and lingerie. Interestingly, she quickly diverted and kept explaining how good he husband is when it comes to cooking on Sundays.
" Kwesi is a normal man and husband. He cooks for the family on Sunday and invites the kids. But he doesn' t buy me flowers. That he won' t do. That I can assure you he won' t do, to shop for me on lingerie, " Mrs Pratt said.
Kwesi Pratt is best noted as one of the organizers of the 1995 Kumepreko demonstration that hit the late Jerry Rawlings presidency. He has been a vocal person when it comes to failed policies of the NDC and NPP.
