I honor Ghana's youth on International youth Day for their innovation, entrepreneurship, and dedication. I want to take this opportunity to emphasize the significance of our youth as the engine of progress and innovation.
Throughout the history of our country, young people have been major forces for change and advancement. A generation of talented youth must be empowered, respectable jobs must be created, and youth must be supported in their efforts to alter our nation, Africa, and the world in order to assure a brighter future.
Many young people feel despondent as a result of rising unemployment, rising living expenses, and a lack of possibilities, and their sense of patriotism is being put to the ultimate test.
John Dramani Mahama and I, as the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), are dedicated to urgently reversing this circumstance by laying the groundwork for fostering a generation of talented youth.
The pressing need for our youth to acquire the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills required for a sustainable future will be addressed by the new NDC administration. In order to increase employment, we will implement a 24-hour economy with incentives and tax breaks for manufacturers who work more shifts.
We'll endeavor to reduce the levies this NPP administration has placed on Ghanaian companies and investors, which have stole Ghana's enviable status as one of the top investment locations in Africa.
In order to promote economic growth, we will maximize the potential of agriculture and agribusiness and provide essential social and IT infrastructure.
Our policy priorities will give our children the "knowledge, abilities, values and attitudes needed to live in, develop and support a sustainable and resource-efficient society"—the essential Green Skills our children need to build a sustainable future.
People matter, and by cooperating, we can create the Ghana we desire and restore the joy to our children's faces.
Wishing all a Happy International Youth Day.
