Left-back is an area that Barcelona have a number of exciting young players. Alejandro Balde is already the undisputed starter in the first team, and Alex Valle could soon join him to provide competition.

Valle is highly-regarded within Barcelona, and he was prominent during their pre-season schedule. However, he will not stay with the first team, and will instead head out on loan to get regular first team football.

According to Albert Roge, Valle will join Segunda side Levante. Barcelona are currently finalising a season-long loan deal for the 19-year-old, and he is expected to travel to Valencia on Sunday to join his new club.

Upon his return to Barcelona next summer, Valle is expected to be included in the first team, depending on how successful his time at Levante is. He would act as competition for Balde, and it would mean that the Blaugrana have two exciting, young left-backs in their side.

Oxlade-Chamberlain having a medical with Besiktas on Sunday

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is undergoing a medical with Besiktas on Sunday ahead of a potential move to Turkey.

The 29-year-old is without a club after he left Liverpool following the end of his contract this summer.

Besiktas are planning on making the Englishman their highest-paid player as they look to secure the high profile signing.

A number of Saudi Arabian clubs were interested while Brentford were also keen but it looks as if Besiktas will win the race.

The move would allow Oxlade-Chamberlain the opportunity to play for a team chasing silverware and continental football.

Besiktas are currently in the qualifying rounds for the Europa Conference League, while they get their league campaign underway against Fatih Karagumruk on Monday.

Chamberlain will also hope the move allows him to play regular football again, after spending a lot of time on the bench at Anfield.

In the 2019-20 season, Chamberlain made 43 appearances and netted eight goals in their Premier League winning campaign.

That season he made 25 starts - more than the 24 he has made in the three seasons since then.

Chamberlain was one of five midfielders to leave Liverpool this summer. Naby Keita and James Milner also left at the end of their contracts, while Jordan Henderson and Fabinho both completed moves to Saudi Arabia.
