Telegram has introduced the much-awaited Stories feature, responding to a longstanding demand from its user community. The company revealed that this addition follows several months of dedicated development and innovation to redefine the Story format. According to Telegram, the implementation of Stories was the most frequently requested feature in its history.
With the new Stories feature, users can now swiftly share fleeting moments and gain deeper insights into the lives of their friends. Telegram has emphasized that this update includes all the anticipated functionalities, along with a range of innovative features that have never been seen before in this context.
Stories are displayed in an expandable section at the top of your screen – so you still see the full length of your chat list and folders.
When viewing a story, you can quickly tap to share, reply privately, or react – tap for a quick ?? or hold down to use hundreds more reactions.
By default, you'll see stories from all your contacts on your home page – and you can hide stories from specific contacts, sending them to your archived chats.
STORIES FEATURES
<> Dual Camera
Capture scenes from multiple angles by taking photos or videos using both the front and rear cameras of your device simultaneously. You can even decide which camera perspective goes where, even during recording.
<> Stickers, Location and Captions
Enhance your stories with Telegram's robust media editor, enabling you to incorporate text, drawings, stickers, and location tags. For added depth, stories also offer captions, allowing you to include extended textual descriptions, tag friends, and insert links.
You have the flexibility to include multiple images from your gallery or search for GIFs and web images to complement your narrative.
<> Privacy Settings
Tailor your story's privacy with precision using Telegram's granular settings. Choose from four privacy levels: Everyone, My Contacts, Close Friends, and Selected Contacts. Each option is fully adjustable, giving you the power to include or exclude specific users.
Furthermore, you can create a list of users who will never have access to your story, ensuring that your adventurous escapades remain hidden from certain individuals, like your boss or grandma.
To keep a story even more private, you can disable screenshots to prevent viewers from saving or sharing it.
<> Stories In Profile
Display your stories in your profile with flexibility – choose durations of 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. Showcase them in an exquisite grid layout, allowing both longstanding connections and new acquaintances to appreciate your curated highlights for the duration you decide.
Each story that you post to your profile has separate privacy settings – so you can always control which ones certain people are able to see.
<> Edit Stories
Revise any aspect of your story with unprecedented ease on Telegram. Unlike any other social media platform, you can modify elements like visibility, captions, on-screen text, stickers, and more, all without the need to delete and repost the entire story from the beginning.
To edit your story, open it on the device you posted it from and tap ? or ? > Edit Story.
<> Detailed View Statistics
Experience detailed visibility insights with Telegram's story feature. Each time a user accesses your story, their presence is recorded in a viewer list that's accessible to you, similar to a read receipt.
Once your story is posted, you can access the list of viewers by opening the story. This list can be filtered to display only your contacts, and you can sort it based on recent views or reactions. To specifically check if a certain user viewed your story, simply enter their name into the search bar for quick confirmation.
For more anonymity, Premium users can enable Stealth Mode – erasing their views from any stories they opened in the past 5 minutes, and hiding what they view for the next 25 minutes.
