Neymar's transfer from Barcelona to PSG remains the most expensive transfer ever. The Parisians spent a lot of money to sign Neymar but he was unable to help the club win the UEFA Champions League.

The Brazilian striker left PSG to sign for Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal. Neymar Jr joined Al Hilal with a record salary of $ 300 million in 2 years and there is no possibility of an extension.

His salary could reach a potential total of $400 million through 2025 based on add-ons and business deals. This deal was brokered by his father Neymar Pai and super agent Pini Zahavi.

PSG have told Neymar to find a new club and he has been linked with a move to Barcelona. However, the Catalan club were not interested in signing Neymar and the decision was rejected by Xavi, who did not appear to be interested in working with the Brazilian striker.

Neymar will play alongside Kalidou Koulibaly, Rubén Neves and former Bordeaux winger Malcom at Al-Hilal.

PSG spent 180 million euros to buy Kylian Mbappe from Monaco, Barcelona spent 145 million euros to buy Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, Chelsea spent 128 million euros to buy Moises Caicedo from Brighton, Atletico Madrid spent 126 million euros to buy Joao Felix from Benfica. Enzo Fernandez, Declan Rice, Antoine Griezmann, Jack Grealish, Lukaku, Ousmane Dembele, Paul Pogba and Jude Bellingham are among the most expensive transfers of all time.

The Herons opened the scoring after three minutes thanks to Josef Martinez. In the 20th minute, Messi scored a brace. The Argentinian took advantage when he was created too much space to finish in the bottom corner. Former Barca team-mate Jordi Alba, 36, made three saves late in the first half to put the game beyond any real doubt.

Alejandro Bedoya provided hope to the home fans with just over 15 minutes remaining in regulation time, but David Ruiz's goal six minutes from regulation time ensured a favorable end for the club. owned by David Beckham. Victory in Pennsylvania sets up a final for Messi and his teammates this weekend against Nashville. Even though he's only been in the US for a month, Messi is on track to achieve the same feat as Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo achieved last weekend - winning a title. The World Cup champion hopes to play a key role in the final as his former rival did in the Middle East against Al Hilal.

Ronaldo scored twice to inspire nine Al Nassr men to the Arab Clubs Cup championship. However, the Portuguese icon did not appear two days later in his loss to Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League opener.
