Why is the GES departing from the norm this year with regards to the 2023 GES promotional Exams results?
It is not yet clear why the Ghana Education service is departing from the normal way of checking results this year.
The Education regulatory body was forced to released after the three major teacher Union came out with a press release demanding that the results be released.
The three teacher unions ( GNAT, NAGRAT and CCT) came out to demand for the release of the results that was written in February.
The Unions had an agreement with the GES that two cohorts will write the promotional results this year.
One was to write the exams in February, while the second cohort was to write the exams in August.
However, as of August, the results of the exams which was written in February had not been release.
This made the teacher unions to pile pressure on their employer to immediately release the results.
GNAT,NAGRAT and CCT said if the agreement was not followed, there will be much backlog.
Barely a week after the Unions came out with their letter, the GES came out with the news of the results without a way for which the results can be checked.
All candidates will have no choice than to be glue to their phones in anticipation of a text message which they don't know when it will come at all.
