Kwame Asare Obeng popularly called A Plus is a Ghanaian hiplife artist with a keen interest in politics and social issues. He first made a name for himself singing about events leading to and after Ghana's 2000 general elections.
He released his album, "Freedom of Speech" during the 2000 elections. The track Mesuro Mpo Na Merekeka Yi O (literally meaning I am afraid of what I am saying but I will say it anyway) basically lambasted politicians. His witty and fairly accurate narration of political issues made the song an immediate hit.
A Plus is now a politician and have been on the neck of politicians and always tasking them to do what is right.
In a recent post made by A Plus on social media (Facebook) which he posted a Vulcanizer shop with an Air Compressor machine which is use to inflate air into car tyres with an inscription made on it as One district One factory.
He asked a question say that what haven't we delivered? This no be pumping machine? His post attracted a lot of attention on his social media handle which most people reacted also commented on his post.
Edrino Greatness who is a blogger, promoter and social media influencer also jabbed A Plus in the comment section of his post on Facebook.
He further told A Plus that he's not serious and the reason President Akufo Addo made him enter girls hostel to campaign for him during the 2016 elections. We cannot take things like this for granted in the country and Continue to make jokes out of everything but it's time for us to get serious as a country. The jokes are becoming too much on social media. We need to put politicians on their toes to work for the betterment of the country. He added
