Constipation occurs when a person can not empty his or her bowels due to costiveness. There are several causes of constipation including eating foods that lack fibres and processed foods. Some of them exacerbate the condition.

Here is the list of foods you should never eat if you have constipation as Barbara Bolen.

1. Anything with white flour

White flour is simply the wheat that lacks fibre. Eating foods that are  enriched with fibres is important for keeping your bowels humming along evenly

To help you beat the conditions, prevent any kind of wheat flour foods for betterment. Try steer clearing of eating cookies, doughnuts, pizza, hotdogs,  and sandwiches made with white bread, toast and burn.

2. Processed meat

They are considered as hard to digest food substances. Additionally, processed meats have been loaded with nitrates substances that cause constipation. The processed foods you stop eating include hotdogs. You also need to prevent these ones until you get better. They often slow down the process of digestion because they are hard to digest. To ease constipation and to keep it a bay, you will need to avoid french fries, fast-food hamburgers.

3. Chewing gum

It is not true that if you swallow a piece of gum it takes seven years to digest. However, it is true that if you swallow many pieces of gum in a short time, or if you swallow several pieces of gum with other indigestible foods such as seeds, this can create a mass that in rare cases, blocks the digestive tract.

Children under age 6 should not chew gum at all, and if you do chew gum, stick to just one or two pieces a day -- and throw it out when you’re done chewing.

4. Gluten

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley.

Gluten doesn’t cause constipation in everyone but it can be problematic for some people who have sensitivity or allergies to it, or who have an autoimmune disorder called celiac disease.

Those with celiac disease must avoid all gluten-containing products.

If you think you have non-celiac gluten sensitivity and it may be causing your constipation, talk to your doctor.
