A 12 year old boy by name Randy Asante popularly known as Kobii is suffering from a life threatening injuries after being knocked down by a vehicle with registration number GE 4873-21 matiz at Kwahu Tafo in the Kwahu East district of the Eastern Region.
The driver of the Vehicle is by name Stephen Nyarko. He is currently in the custody of the police because he fled the scene after hitting the young man down.
Speaking to an Eyewitness, Mr Akapela said when the driver hit the young boy down with his car, the driver wanted to run away but I (the Eyewitness) tried my possible best to stop the driver and asked him to put the boy in the car for him to be sent to the hospital for treatment.
According to the Eyewitness, after putting the boy in the car, I went home to call the parent of the boy and informed them about the incident and later found out that the boy wasn't sent to any hospital but rather was dumped in a bush at Kwahu Asakraka by the driver.
On his part, the father of the boy Mr. Francis Oware popularly known as Boboo Wayo said he heard that news that his son has been knocked down by a vehicle. I was told that my son has been sent to the hospital so I rushed quickly to all the hospitals to find out about the whereabout of my son but unfortunately I couldn't find him in any of the hospitals in Kwahu.
The police later called and told me that my son was found by a very good Samaritan in a bush at Kwahu Asakraka.
According to a News Reporter from Angel by name Oheneba Siaw said he tried to speak to the Mpraeso Police Command but they refused to speak about the issue.
