Manchester United are Interested in swapping Wan-Bissaka For Samedo as they are still planning to bolster their squad before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Earlier this week, Wolves announced that the right-back had signed a two-year contract extension to stay at Molyneux until 2025. However, the decision was made by Julen Lopetegui as head coach, and the Spaniard has since left the club.

Semedo impressed in the club's 1-0 loss to Manchester United in the club's opening game in 2023, but he remains one of the West Midlands side's biggest moneymakers, if not the biggest. It is considered Earlier this week, a report said that United manager Eric ten Haag was interested in signing the Portuguese international before the end of the summer transfer window, even though the Dutch already had two options.

Either use Diogo Dalot or swap Samedo with Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The two have contrasting qualities that are undoubtedly valuable to United. Still, according to Football Insider, ten Haag would be happy to allow Wan-Bissaka to join the Wolves, which would mean signing Semedo.

Wan-Bissaka made few appearances for United in the first half of the 2022–23 season, but after the World Cup, the England international's form dipped massively, making him have 34 appearances in all competitions.

The 25-year-old also started United's first two Premier League games this season, setting up Rafael Varane's winning goal against Wolves on August 14. However, due to FFP restrictions, United cannot freely sign a new right-back, especially as they are also looking to sign a central midfielder, and Sofian Amrabat is their top target.

Wan-Bissaka is under contract for less than 12 months, and a departure from the former Crystal Palace player could prove beneficial for Semedo if it means cutting spending.

It's unclear at this time if the Wolves will charge Wan-Bissaka a fee on top of his services or if he's interested in joining Gary O'Neal's squad. Matt Doherty is another established right-back for Wolves, and Johnny could be cleared before the September 1 transfer deadline.
