FOOTBALLS UNWANTED RECORDS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Some players hold quite astonishing records; for instance, Messi is the King of El classico, being the player with most goals in this derby.

Sadio Mane holds the record for fastest hat trick, Ronaldo being the all time leading goal scorer and Ryan Giggs holding the record for the most Premier League titles. As you can see, these are amazing records any player would love to have, nonetheless, some players hold records nobody would want but it is what it is. Lets take a look at some unwanted Premier League records.

Most passes without an assist.

Jorginho hit 2,332 passes without setting up a teammate when Chelsea played against Tottenham. Swanseas Leon Britton was the previous holder.

Most Defeats For A Player In A Game Where Theyve Scored.

In 2017/18 season, Jamie Vardy endured defeat on NINE separate occasions for Leicester in games when he had found the back of the net.

Most Own Goals

A famous or should I say infamous statistic which is held by Richard Dunne. The Irishman was a stalwart of Manchester Citys defense for nine years, scoring 10 own goals in that time. The center back managed to score only 7 goals at the right and of the pitch.

The Only Team To Let A Four Goal Lead Slip

There have been plenty of three goal leads thrown away over the years, but four? Well, only Arsenal have managed that and they did it in one of the greatest Premier League games of all time. The Gunners were, at that time contending for the Premier League title and were stunned 3 minutes from time by Cheick Tiots equalizer.

Worst Transfer Window

Inexplicably, Tottenham became the only team in Premier League history to go an entire summer without signing a single player. To make matters worse, they then failed to buy anyone in January either. Some would argue theyre still paying the price now.

The Player To Hit The Woodwork The Most Times

Robin Van Persie was denied by the uprights 44 times; perhaps its not the *worst* record in the world but the Dutchman can count himself really unlucky.

I must say, no player would want a record like these, but still these players managed to make their way into the history books.
