Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremateng also known as Alan Cash is a Ghanaian politician and an International diplomat. Currently, he is running for the npp presidential candidate seat for a fourth time with the likes of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyepong and others.
He served as the Minister for Trade and Industry from 2017 to 2023. Alan Kyerematen was Ghana's Ambassador to the United States and later Minister of Trade and Industry, Private Sector Development (PSD) and Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI) during Former President John Agyekum Kuffuor's tenure of office . Alan Kyerematen served as a trade advisor at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he coordinated the African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC).
However, yesterday afternoon, Alan Kyeremateng together with some members of his campaign team visited the North-East regional Campaign Coordinator, Mr. Ali Zakaria, at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra to see how he was doing.
Meanwhile, Mr. Zakaria was assaulted and manhandled in the North-East region during the just ended Super Delegates Conference, where he was Alan Kyeremateng's agent and which the situation had affected one of his eye.
According to Alan Kyeremateng, he has been frankly disturbed by such dastardly acts of total indiscipline and inappropriate behaviour which ought to be condemned unreservedly and to make sure such a thing doesn't happen again.
On this note, I call on my supporters to remain calm in the face of these unprovoked targeting and wish my good friend, Ali, speedy recovery.
We can always do politics without being attacked and need to value human life. Politics doesn't make us enemies because we are all one people and hence must not always see others as our enemy.
This act of indiscipline must be condemned and stopped to avoid it from happening again in the near future. We can all do better.
