The NDC held a capacity building conference for their youth wing members in the Western Region of Ghana. The aim was to sharpen the skills of the youth ahead of the 2024 elections. The theme of the conference was "Effective Mobilization for Power: The Role of a Youth Organizer".
Former Deputy Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu was one of the speakers. He told the youth that the poor performance of the Akufo-Addo government will determine the outcome of the 2024 elections. He said governance has eluded the NPP administration due to their abysmal performance in the last 7 years. Hardship under the NPP, he argued, will cause Ghanaians to vote for a change in government as has been the trend historically.

Kwakye Ofosu noted that many Ghanaian youth are leaving the country in droves due to the hardship under the NPP government. The youth, he said, have lost hope in the Akufo-Addo administration. The series of failures and embarrassments of the government mean that governance no longer concerns the President.
He argued that the NDC outperforms the NPP when it comes to good governance. Whenever the NDC is in power, the country's governance and economy improve. In contrast, the NPP mainly reaps the benefits of what the NDC sows before destroying everything before leaving office, he claimed.
Lawyer Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo, the leader of the NDC legal team, spoke on "Youth Mobilization, Law, and Political Dynamics". He appealed to the youth organizers to collaborate with branch executives to effectively and efficiently collate figures for the 2024 elections.
The conference attracted many party stalwarts who not only contributed financially but also kind contributions to support the youth wing in the region.
Western Regional Youth Organizer Alhaji Mustapha Iddirisu charged each constituency youth organizer to work hard in their communities and constituencies. They must influence the establishment of an NDC presence across the country and push to determine the outcome of the 2024 elections, he said.
