According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea secured Palmer's services for an approximate fee of £40 million. The young midfielder has put pen to paper on a substantial seven-year contract with the Stamford Bridge club, including an option for an additional year.

Upon joining Chelsea, Palmer expressed his excitement and eagerness to get started, stating, "I’m excited to get started and it feels great to sign. I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents. It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special here."

Chelsea, in an official statement, also revealed that Palmer is set to join Mauricio Pochettino's squad in preparation for their upcoming Premier League encounter against Nottingham Forest. This swift inclusion in the squad indicates that the talented youngster could make his debut for the Blues during the weekend fixture.

The signing of Cole Palmer marks another strategic move for Chelsea in strengthening its already formidable squad. The club continues to prioritize youthful talent and aims to build upon its successes, fostering a vibrant and competitive team for the future. Palmer's arrival provides further depth and dynamism to the midfield, contributing to Chelsea's ambitions for both domestic and international success.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Mauricio Pochettino's side have paid around £40m for the Cityzens playmaker, who has signed a seven-year contract with the Stamford Bridge club, with an option for a further one.

"I’m excited to get started and it feels great to sign,’ said Palmer. "I’ve joined Chelsea because the project here sounds good and because of the platform I will have to try to showcase my talents. It is a young and hungry squad and, hopefully, we can do something special here," said the 21-year-old midfielder.
