John Mahama is the flagbearer of the biggest opposition party (NDC) in Ghana. He has once again taken a swape at the Akufo-Addo administration. John Mahama promised that his next term in office would be different.
However, visionary and selfless leadership in contrast to the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) business as usual strategy was offered by the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Meanwhile, "Of certainly, I can tell you that the John Mahama administration will be different starting of January 7, 2025. Instead of the NPP's "business as usual" strategy, I pledge to lead with vision and compassion.
According to John Mahama, the President and his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for undermining the nation's democratic reputation and urged Ghanaians to support the government in elections on December 7, 2024.
"The actions and inept governance of Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia have completely eroded Ghana's democratic goodwill," John Mahama wrote on his Twitter page. A low point in political credibility has never been reached in the history of the Fourth Republic. Therefore, it is essential to win the upcoming election on December 7, 2024, in order to restore confidence in our constitutional democracy.
"I continue to believe that the ineffective leadership of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia needs to be held responsible for the corruption and deteriorating conditions that have occurred while they were in office for nearly seven years. But if we use the same party, we can't guarantee accountability because the leaders who led us to this turning point are still in place."
In his address to Ghanaians in September, John Mahama, who appears to be prepared for the general elections of 2024, urged them to maintain democracy.
"Hello and welcome to September 2023. On December 7, 2024, the people will finally have their say. We have 463 more days. Let's protect our democracy and make it great.
