NPP PRIMARIES: ADDAI-NIMO PRONOUNCED FIFTH COMPETITOR, RUN-OFF DROPPED

The overseeing New Devoted Party (NPP) has dropped its September 2, 2023 run-off planned to break the tie between Francis Addai-Nimoh and Boakye Agyarko.


This follows Boakye Agyarko's choice to pull out from the challenge.


"We consider your choice to pull out from the challenge and hence the run-off political decision planned for Saturday, September 2, 2023, will at this point not be held," Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, Executive of the NPP's Official Races Board, said in a letter addressed to Boakye Agyarko.


VP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, started things out in the Party's Super Delegates Congress.


The Super Delegates Congress was coordinated to choose five official wannabes for challenge the party's primaries in November this year.


This was after 10 competitors got structures to challenge the NPP's official primaries which is booked for November 4.


After the assemblage of all the 17 surveying communities the nation over, the VP ended up as the winner with 68.15% of the complete votes cast, trailed by Individual from Parliament for Assin Focal, Kennedy Agyapong who gathered 14.30% of the all out votes cast.
