Liverpool's star player, Mohamed Salah, has expressed his desire to continue his tenure with the club, despite receiving interest from the Saudi Pro League, according to his teammate Dominik Szoboszlai. This statement came after both players scored in Liverpool's convincing 3-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Reports emerged suggesting that Liverpool had rejected a substantial offer, potentially amounting to £150 million ($189 million), from Al-Ittihad for the services of the Egyptian forward earlier in the week. Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool's manager, has unequivocally dismissed any notion that the club would entertain the idea of selling Salah, particularly considering that the player had signed a fresh three-year contract with Anfield just last year. It's worth noting that the Premier League transfer window had already closed on Friday, while Saudi clubs still have the opportunity to bolster their squads until the 7th of September.

Szoboszlai, who recently netted his debut goal for Liverpool, expressed his contentment regarding Salah's decision to stay at the club, stating, "It is football, everyone is talking. We are really happy that he has stayed. We are, of course, speaking among ourselves, and he wants to stay, he wants to be here and be with us. We are really happy. We need people in the team like him."

This unequivocal desire from Salah to remain at Liverpool should come as a source of relief and optimism for the club's supporters, as he continues to be a pivotal figure in the team's pursuit of success.

Liverpool reportedly rejected an offer worth up to £150 million ($189 million) for the Egyptian this week from Al-Ittihad.

Jurgen Klopp has shot down any suggestion the Reds could entertain a bid for Salah, who signed a new three-year deal at Anfield last year. The Premier League transfer window closed on Friday, but Saudi clubs can still add to their squads before 7th September.

"It is football, everyone is talking. We are really happy that he has stayed," said Szoboszlai after netting his first goal for the club.

"We are of course speaking between each other but he wants to stay, he wants to be here and be with us. We are really happy. We need people in the team like him."
