JESUS CHRIST IS MY PASSOVER
God gave the Israelites instructions so they could avoid the judgment that was coming on the Egyptians.
EXODUS 12:13 13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.
The Israelites who covered their homes in the blood of a lamb were secure from the destroyer, unlike the Egyptians who had no defense.
The blood was a symbol of Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain from the beginning of time. Because of it, judgment was legally avoided.
PSALM 105:37 37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
The children of Israel were not only saved from destruction, but they also all left Egypt in good health, taking with them the riches of Egypt.
Our Passover is Christ. Can we not expect Him to offer us the same level of defense and deliverance as the lamb did for the Israelites in Egypt?
1 CORINTHIANS 5:7 7 Purge out, therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ, our Passover is sacrificed for us:
LUKE 22:20 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Drawing a faith Bloodline that the devil cannot cross is permissible for New Covenant believers. By using words of faith, we apply the Blood to the "doorposts" of our lives—the boundaries of everything that is rightfully ours.
No evil dared to enter the Israelites' home in Egypt because their door was covered with blood. The divine Blood of Jesus provides us with the same kind of security.
Apply the Blood everywhere you have authority, and never abandon the defense that the Blood of Jesus offers.
SAY THIS: Jesus Christ is my Passover, who saves and protects my family and me.
