Ghanaian actress Clara Benson, popularly known as Maame Serwaa, has surprised many by revealing that despite her years of success in the entertainment industry, she still does not own a car. While some may find this surprising, the young actress has made it clear that her financial priorities are different.

In a recent interview, Maame Serwaa opened up about her decision to invest in long-term assets rather than luxury items. According to her, she has chosen to focus on real estate, securing a stable future instead of spending money on things that depreciate in value.

"People often assume that once you become famous, you should have all the flashy things—cars, designer clothes, and an extravagant lifestyle. But for me, I believe in making investments that will secure my future. That’s why I chose to buy land and build houses instead," she explained.

Real Estate Over Luxury

The actress, who started her career as a child star in Kumawood, shared that she owns multiple plots of land in both Kumasi and Accra. She also revealed that she has already built one house, and another is currently under construction.

"I have two houses—one is fully completed, and the second one is still in progress. That’s where my money goes. If I had focused on buying a car first, I might not have been able to achieve this," she said.

For Maame Serwaa, wealth is about long-term stability rather than momentary satisfaction. She believes that while a car is convenient, it is not as valuable as owning property.

Waiting for the Right Time

When asked if she plans to buy a car anytime soon, she responded that she prefers to purchase it with her own money when she feels the time is right.

"It’s not that I don’t want a car—I do. In fact, my dream car is a G-Wagon. But I want to buy it with my own hard-earned money so that when I finally get it, I can proudly say that I bought it myself," she stated.

A Lesson in Financial Priorities

Maame Serwaa’s decision reflects a powerful message about financial literacy and smart money management. In an industry where young stars often fall into the trap of spending lavishly, her approach is refreshing.

She advised young people, especially those in the entertainment industry, to think beyond immediate gratification and focus on building wealth that will last.

"A car is nice, but it won’t give you financial security. What happens if you stop working tomorrow? If you don’t have something solid, life can become very difficult," she emphasized.

Her story serves as an inspiration for many, proving that true success is not measured by flashy possessions but by wise investments and long-term stability.
