Getafe chief breaks silence on controversial Mason Greenwood transfer Getafe's sporting director Ruben Reyes has broken his silence on the club signing Mason Greenwood from Manchester United. Greenwood secured a move away from Man United on deadline day as he signed for Getafe on a season-long loan. Several teams around Europe turned down the chance to sign the player, with the likes of Brentford, AC Milan and AS Roma rejecting the opportunity to bring him in during the summer transfer window. Brest chief Gregory Lorenzi has since come out and revealed that the French side was offered the 21-year-old but turned down the offer due to the 'controversy'.
