Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the President of Paris Saint-Germain, has secured his re-election as the head of the European Club Association (ECA) during a recent vote held in Berlin. In the wake of this achievement, Al-Khelaifi seized the opportunity to share his perspective on two significant topics - the Super League and Saudi Arabia's growing influence within the realm of football.

Al-Khelaifi's remarks, as reported by 'AS,' included a touch of sarcasm directed at two prominent clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona, who were staunch advocates of the Super League:

"I call it the 'No Super League.' Nobody wants to be in it. We don't care what they do. They're out there. There used to be three teams, now there are two... (Juventus are no longer in the project unlike Real Madrid and Barca)."

The PSG president's characterization of the Super League as the 'No Super League' reflects the widespread rejection and resistance the proposed competition encountered within the football community. With Juventus having withdrawn from the project, only Real Madrid and Barcelona remain as active proponents of the initiative.

Al-Khelaifi also addressed the topic of Saudi Arabia's increasing influence in the world of football. He expressed his lack of concern about this development, stating, "I don't think there is any danger. We are focusing on Europe and our clubs. We have the best and most important competitions and the best players. It's not for me to judge what's happening outside Europe. We're focusing on ourselves."

This response underscores the determination of European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, to prioritize their continental competitions and maintain their competitive edge. Al-Khelaifi's re-election as the head of the ECA signifies his commitment to steering European football clubs towards continued success while also acknowledging the importance of maintaining their focus amid global football developments.

The PSG chief also said that he was not worried about the rise of Saudi Arabia: "I don't think there is any danger. We are focusing on Europe and our clubs. We have the best and most important competitions and the best players. It's not for me to judge what's happening outside Europe. We're focusing on ourselves.
