For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to die for Us..
The explanation is found in the Bible. John 3:16 says, For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
God loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be born on earth and die on the cross. Why? We are all sinners and the Bible says the consequence of sin is death, eternal separation from God. There is nothing we can do to make us good enough for heaven.
But God made a way. Christ lived a perfect, blameless life and provided the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He died in our place.
Isaiah 53:7 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep, before her shearers are dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:19 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
One common belief is that God hates people so much that He can't wait to punish people for their transgressions.
God has already pardoned sinners. For your connection with Him to be repaired, you must now accept His forgiveness.
What a tragedy that people are cut off from God and lack His support and blessing because they believe that God is against them and would not want anything to do with them.
1 JOHN 2:12 12 I write unto you, little children because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
God has already pardoned you, regardless of what you did! You are loved more than you can imagine.
All of your sins have already been atoned for by Jesus Christ, so God is no longer holding any of them against you. You've been absolved.
