Mohbad’s body exhumed for further investigations.
The body of the late Nigerian musician; Mohbad, has been exhumed in order to conduct an autopsy to aid in further investigation in regards to his tragic passing away.
The body of the late Nigerian musician, “feel good” hit maker Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, who was widely known as Mohbad, has been exhumed in order to conduct an autopsy. This development was announced by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police, via his official formerly twitter, now X handle on Thursday. Hundeyin stated, "The exhumation process has been completed, and the autopsy will now commence. #JusticeForMohad #Justice4Mohbad."
Previously, the police leadership had reported the formation of a 13-member special investigation team by the Lagos State Police Command to look into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's sudden death, which occurred last week Tuesday. When asked about arrests related to the singer's death, Hundeyin replied, "I cannot provide information regarding arrests at this time as I do not have that update. However, I can confirm that the nurse is in our custody."
Earlier, the acting Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, had directed the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohynwa, to initiate a prompt and thorough investigation into the tragic passing of Mohbad. This directive was conveyed during a discussion at the Police Airwing Hangar, Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The aim is to uncover the truth behind the tragedy, as there have been concerns and speculations surrounding the circumstances of his untimely demise.
The Nigeria Police Force urges any family members or close associates with valuable information about this case to cooperate with the Lagos State Police Command.
