SELFISHNESS
Selfishness is a trait nobody wants to have accredited to them. If someone is selfish, they tend to only care about themselves and their wants and desires. The world we live in today is fixated on the idea of being selfish, especially as shown in social channels.
The motto of the world is to “live your best life.” In this type of thinking, there is no room for living for Christ.
What Is Selfishness?
Everything written in the Bible goes against the teaching of selfishness. Philippians 2:2-3 tells us,
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
If we follow Jesus’ example, we will not grow to become selfish. As Philippians 2:2-3 tells us, we are to value others about ourselves. Rather than looking out for our interests, we should look to the interests of others
If God allowed it, the only thing needed to turn paradise into hell is selfishness.
The basic flaw in humanity is selfishness. Greedy is defined as being self-important, self-serving, and self-centered.
Selfishness is the source of all issues.
JAMES 3:16 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Everyone who is self-centered could be your adversary.
All evil is selfish. No one ever commits a mistake for another person, we all do it for our benefit.
But if you don't succumb to selfishness, you'll destroy yourself. You cannot, however, transform on your own. Without changing the foundation, you cannot change the result. You must therefore be reborn as a result! You can only become genuinely selfless by accepting Jesus Christ and allowing Him to transform you from the inside out.
No other "religion" promotes loving your foes and even teaching others to come before yourself. One can only completely transform and acquire a new character according to Christian doctrine. Jesus is the only means of healing!
In our everyday lives, we are to mirror Christ and cause others to see Him through our actions. We need to be bright lights for Christ in this dark world (Matthew 5:14-16). The trait of selfishness will not shine Christ’s light on the lost world.
SAY THIS: Lord, please heal my selfishness.
May God increase and Bless you
May He Favor You
Receive speed in Jesus' Name Amen
