WHEN I WAS A MARRIED MAN

Congratulations emphatically people say

Brave men bold in decision to pay...

"Kojo why do speak in parables? Or this is one of your articles?" a friend worriedly questions. "This guy needs to visit the psychiatry hospital for his mental health!" friends teasingly exclaimed. I smiled back at them distancing myself from the public mockery to reorganize myself not to feel inferior. A lady came closer to me and she said "abotr3" patience. She told me she knows why I do publish articles on emotions and heartbreaks. "I studied Literature at secondary and tertiary. I also studied psychology and sociology too and base on your style of writing, I emphatically say you are narrating your story to the world. Just that you make it seemed fiction". she warmly said. I was amazed for the first time someone had been able to realize my pain through my articles. "Wendy is my name!" she softly mentioned. "Kojo Sams is my name" I responded. "I've read your new article titled WHEN I WAS A MARRIED MAN for like fifty times and I really don't understand the message you want to share. Are you trying to narrate your marriage lifestyle which I know you ain't a married man though or you are narrating your childhood experiences?" Wendy keenly asked. Wow! I'm happy you like reading my articles I really appreciate. WHEN I WAS A MARRIED MAN! Wendy! Why do we go in for partners? Class session time haha, okay for companionship that's my thoughts what about you? Interesting dear, frankly speaking it's due to love. How? She surprisingly asked. I'll explain using the article When I was a married man.

John promised himself never to treat a lady harshly due to his upbringing. He grew up in a domestic violence home. A chaotic scenes he witnessed on the daily. Soul killing insults and bones breaking punches were what transpired. He told himself, why insult the man you love if duly you do and why beat your wife heavily truly you know she's vulnerable who needs comfort and support.

Life transition got John becoming very good looking and smart. He's always noted as the "ladies' man". Reaching the age of companionship, John decided to follow the norm. He found himself a lady to build something with. Due to his upbringing, he was down to earth to this lady. Chantelle her name, became a dictator in John's life. Complains wasn't his things as far as his heart beats Chantelle. John begun been neglected when his business had a phase shift. Maltreatment and ill words was rampantly used against him yet the heart never gave up. A black Wednesday, he saw what the eyes couldn't believe. Leaving him with a short mental disorder. Talking to the air and explaining his part of the story just to comforted but no one came to his rescue. Self motivation and the spirit of hope gave him another chapter. He gave relationship another chance with the same mindset. Angela, the new hope, very reserved with good sense of humor. Indeed she was good looking with the best words describing gorgeous. Like an evil spell casted on a hero, Angela begun distancing herself from John. He frequently asked why but he never had his response. Silence was always served the moment such topic pops up. Notification of breakup was signaled to him at dawn just after he woke up from his sleep. Another arrow had been pierced through his heart...

John after self counseling over months decided to be the person he was seemed to be. His looks, smartness and vibes got a lot scared. "Player" who toils with hearts of ladies. Adam, his close friend asked, why do you play with ladies emotions and dump them in a hostile way. John responded "Do you remember when I was a married man? How I was treated unfairly just because I showed true love? Who sat those ladies down to explain to them what love truly is? These ladies don't know what love is. This what they understand, that's why I am serving them that...

Wendy I ask "is he really right or wrong or perhaps taking a revenge? Kojo asked.

Hmmm, Wendy signed. What is love?

Love is patience, understanding, tolerance, good communication and care. Kojo answered.
