According to Kwame Asante: IN Ghana THE TREATMENT OF PROSTATES AND POTENTIA ARE USED BY VERY OLD METHODS. IT'S NO SURPRISE THAT 95% OF MEN 50 AND OLDER HAVE PROBLEMS WITH IT. By comparison, the incidence of prostatitis and potency problems among men over 50 in Germany is only 31%.
Despite his busy schedule, Dr. Kwame Asante answered our correspondent's questions. He said the methods used in increasing potency and treating prostate inflammation and tumors throughout Ghana are unacceptable. He explained why he thought so.
Doctor, you recently stated that all Ghanaian urologists are dishonest and that the methods used to treat prostatitis and potency problems in Ghana have no future. Could you clarify this statement a little bit?
Definitely. First of all, I would like to apologize to the thousands of people who have been offended by these statements. Nevertheless, this needs to be talked about so that everyone knows. Otherwise, nothing will change.
Terrible things are happening in urology in Ghana. Especially in terms of treating prostate inflammation and increasing male potency. The treatment methods used in Ghana today are 20 to 30 years behind the current ones.
You might be surprised, but around the world, PROSTATITIS IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED A CHRONIC DISEASE AS IT IS EASILY TREATABLE! Unfortunately, this progress has not yet become the norm in our country. Doctors in Ghana subject their patients to distressing rectal prostate massages and physical therapy procedures, such as galvanization, electrophoresis, ultrasound, magnetic therapy, and the use of potent antibiotics, which can be risky.
These methods, which are not only painful but also costly, fail to offer a cure, allowing the disease to advance. While antibiotics may temporarily suppress harmful bacteria, they tend to resurface within 1-2 months, leading to the recurrence of prostate inflammation. This situation is deeply concerning and can no longer be overlooked.

Why does the medical sector in Ghana lag behind?
Because no one cares about anything! The training of doctors, young and old, working in state clinics is insufficient. Private clinics employ well-trained doctors. Their priority is not to cure their patients or let them treat themselves, but to keep their income.
Thus, they require patients to pay more for rectal massage sessions and procedures using various medical devices. It is much more profitable to return the patient by prescribing antibiotics, which will have a temporary effect.
Some of the doctors don't even try to find modern methods of treatment, prescribing only the drugs their superiors tell them to use. People don't care.
Unfortunately, medicine in Ghana is very corrupt. I have traveled to many countries, but nowhere have I seen such chaos as in Ghana... In a word, it's terrible.
What approaches are employed in developed countries to address prostatitis and issues related to potency?
It's imperative to understand the root cause of these issues. In 2003, scientists from Denmark succeeded in establishing that the primary cause of prostatitis is impaired blood circulation in the pelvic region. This area contains numerous delicate capillaries that facilitate the blood supply to the prostate. These capillaries can become obstructed due to aging or various detrimental factors, leading to impaired blood circulation.
As the prostate is responsible for producing 18 essential hormones for men, the blockage deprives it of the necessary nutrients and oxygen. This leads to a phase of stagnation. Subsequently, the gland experiences inflammation and swelling, known as acute prostatitis. The build-up of secretions is termed chronic prostatitis, which in due course impacts potency, rendering the man unable to achieve and sustain an erection.
This knowledge enlightens us on the necessary measures to combat prostatitis and potency issues. Rather than resorting to potent antibiotics to eliminate bacteria, as is practiced by doctors in Ghana, the focus should be on rectifying the stagnation.
