DOES GOD PROVIDE US WHAT WE NEED ONLY
God promises to give His people rest (Matthew 11:29-30, Psalm 23:2). We experience this rest by placing our trust in Jesus.
Rest comes from giving up control of our lives and following Jesus wherever His path may lead. Think about going on a long car trip. How different is the experience when you are the passenger instead of the driver? The passenger experiences rest the driver does not.
How is a need defined? Who has the authority to define what a need is?
Is it a necessary item? What is necessary? Necessary for what? For survival? For health? (Only physical health, or also spiritual and emotional health?)
Are essentials common? Or do they differ among people, nationalities, and ages?
If I have more than my basic needs and supplies, does it prove I am greedy or selfish?
Why is it that some Christians have more than they need if God will only supply our needs? How did they obtain it? Did they receive it from the devil?
If God only takes care of Christians' needs, who will ever have anything extra to share with others?
What's the difference between need and greed? How much is too much and how much is just right? On your behalf? Or for me? For a person in another nation? For everyone?
Is it immoral for a Christian to take a job that pays more than the minimum wage? To maintain their level of scarcity, should they only work part-time?
Does God have preferences? Did the Apostle Paul claim to have more than he needed in Philippians 4:18? Has God ever given an abundance to anybody else?
Does the Creation provide witness to an abundant God? Why do fish come in so many different forms and colors? Why are flowers necessary?
Can you cite specific verses that prove God will just provide what we need to get by? Are there not numerous verses in the Bible that tell us He provides abundance? Have you ever read the overall Bible?
Who defines a need? Are you authorized to judge?
SAY THIS WITH FAITH: Has my opinion of God's provision been right?
May God increase and Bless you
Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV
The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.
Receive speed in Jesus' Name Amen
