Kumasi based referee & police officer ABDUL LATIF QADIR will officiate Asante Kotoko’s matchday 6 away game against Nations FC on Sunday.

He will be assisted by Emmanuel Dolangbanu & Gabriel Boateng with Foster Bastiours as 4th referee.

The police man based in the Ashanti region would be honored to officiate the first match between the teams in top flight football, this Sunday would be their first meeting in the betpawa premier League or the Ghana Premier League.

The newly promoted side are in search of their second home win, whilst the porcupine warriors are also hunting for a second away win of the season.

Nations FC has one win and a draw.

The away team Asante Kotoko also has a win and a loss.

Below are shot of a friendly match between Asante Kotoko and Golden eagles, in which Kotoko won by for goals to nil.

The club of the masses, Asante Kotoko SC will be travelling to a familiar grounds to honour our Match Day 6 encounter against new entrants Nations FC.

Nations FC are the current users of the facility that was once occupied by Kessben FC which was sold and it's now Medeama SC.

In 2008, Kotoko played against Kessben FC and a 60th minute goal by Eric Bekoe was enough to make Asante Kotoko triumph over the new entrants, Kessben F.C in the One touch Premier League match played at the Anane Boateng Sports Stadium now Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex.

Former IMT and Board Member of Kotoko, Mr. Kwabena Kesse Esq. owned the defunct Kessben FC after exiting the Kotoko duties and that really aroused the interest of several fans to watch that well attended game but Bekoe's goal on the 60th minute separated the new boys from the experienced legs.

A similar situation exist today as Nations FC which is financed and practically owned by the immediate past Board Chairman of Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei faces Kotoko in the Match Day 6 of the betPawa Premier League. We gonna see similar tension in that game with maximum attendance on the day but Kotoko will eventually win that game just as we did to the first owners of the stadium.

A win against Nations FC will likely place us on the summit of the betPawa Premier League table and we can't wait to see that happen.

A wrong time to meet us,tell them we are coming to a familiar grounds.
