In the year 2000, 18-year-old Zebb Quinn went missing after finishing his shift at Walmart. His car was discovered several days later in a restaurant parking lot under unusual circumstances: its headlights were left on, a live puppy was left inside, and a pair of lips had been drawn in pink lipstick on the back window. He was never seen nor heard from again.
Seventeen years later, on July 10, 2017, Robert Jason Owens was indicted for the first-degree murder of Quinn. Owens worked with Quinn at Walmart and was the last known person to have seen Quinn alive.
In court and after the hearing, defense attorneys said that Owens was Quinn's friend and that Owens' abusive and controlling uncle duped his nephew into luring Quinn to Pisgah National Forest to meet a woman with whom Quinn was smitten.
But the woman, Misty Taylor, was not there, and the uncle, Walter "Gene" Owens, who had been hired by Taylor's boyfriend, killed Quinn, then dismembered and burned his body.
On July 25, 2022, over 22 years after Quinn's disappearance, Owens pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. Owens claimed that his uncle had been hired to murder Quinn by the boyfriend of a woman whom Quinn had been romantically interested in and that he had helped his uncle cover up the murder.
Owens's uncle died in 2017, and there has not been an arrest of the alleged instigator. Owens's conviction legally establishes that Quinn was murdered despite the absence of his body.

Owens's uncle died in 2017, and there has not been an arrest of the alleged instigator. Owens's conviction legally establishes that Quinn was murdered despite the absence of his body. My question is, how did they established murder without Quinn's body? Owens claimed that his uncle had been hired to murder Quinn by the boyfriend of a woman whom Quinn had been romantically interested in, and that he had helped his uncle cover-up the murder. How did they confirm the authenticity of this claim without finding the body?.

Owens was also arrested for killing a pregnant woman and her husband.

The saddest part is that Zebb may not be aware that the Woman he loved had a Man, he just died out of another Man's jealousy and obsession.
