Honestly, I'm not too enthused about the fact that 100% of the match day tickets will be sold at the gates.
At least 50% should have been sold at the gates while we sell the rest online.
The solution to the online ticket racketeering is not the physical sales. In fact the physical sales comes with its own racketeering tendencies.
If we are not careful, some unscrupulous individuals who parade themselves as club addicts will rather enrich themselves at the gates with this new modus operandi. For the start we may see some sharp improvement but with time, the old issues will pop up again.
Also, most people who may not be in Kumasi as at the time of the match have been buying tickets for others to watch. If we are not careful, this generous act will reduce drastically because, per the current situation, they would have to send the monies to these people to buy the tickets at gate to watch the match which is practically discouraging to the donors.
Let's deal with this ticket issues carefully so that only the club becomes the ultimate benefiary but not some individuals.
We can make the sales 50/50 for now as we try to find solutions to the inconveniences with the online sales.
Let's not sleep after reintroducing this old system but must find swift solutions to the online sales and revert to that immediately because i'm personally not a fan of the physical sales at the gates due to several experiences.
