The NPP parliamentary Candidate Aspirant for the Jaman North constituency who is the current District Chief Executive, Hon. Solomon Owusu has emphatically stated that he is the right candidate among the six (6) aspirants with the political muscles to recapture the parliamentary seat that was lost to Hon. Ahenkwaa Yaw Frederick and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2020 general elections.
During an interaction with Diawisie TV online, the DCE reiterated that his will to contest as a parliamentary candidate is not born out of envy or covetousness but to build an all-inclusive party to facilitate the growth of the Jaman North constituency and the New Patriotic Party.
"We are thinking about the larger party, it is not about the individual. But we are considering a candidate who can help recapture the lost seat and that is why I have stuck my neck out, hadn't not been that, I wouldn't have contested because I am among the 5 persons who have occupied the position of District Chief Executive in the district and that alone would have been okay with me but sometimes when you are in a group, you must think about the larger group not yourself", he asserted.
He hinted that Jaman North district will soon benefit from the NPP's 1D1F policy through his efforts stressing that he has lobbied for a Cashew Processing factory in the district with all arrangements completed only in need of land to commence the construction hence his presence in Parliament will let the constituency benefit from most of the government's flagship policies to enrich the development of Jaman North.
He, therefore pleaded with Delegates of the party to consider what he has done within his two(2) years in office as DCE and reward him with the parliamentary candidature because he is poise to bring relief to them.
He emphasized that election is about track records, what you have done and not what you want to do hence delegates must trace his two years of unprecedented developmental projects in the district and vote for him.
