Ernest Adomako Poised To Snatch Okaikoi South Seat For NDC, Says Youth Empowerment Is His Priority.
The Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Okaikoi South Constituency in the Greater Accra region, Mr. Enerst Adomako is confident of winning the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for his party in 2024.
However, he has disagreed with the notion that the Okaikoi South Constituency is "A No Go Area" for the NDC.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ernest Adomako said he would mobilize the core NDC caucus in the constituency, with both floating voters and New Patriotic Party (NPP) sympathizers in order to wrestle the seat for the NDC in 2024. I want to halt the 28 years of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) stranglehold of the constituency.
According to the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikoi South, Mr. Ernest Adomako opined that because of NPP's dominance in the constituency they have neglected the pro-poor infrastructure that's the need of the residents and constituency.
As a result, Mr. Ernest Adomako further said that the roads and some schools in the constituency are in bad condition.
He mentioned that he had to renovate two cluster of schools at the Kaneshie enclave which were not fit for the purpose of teaching and learning.
He also bemoaned the high rate of youth unemployment in the constituency, saying when he becomes the Member of Parliament (MP) after the 2024 parliamentary elections, youth empowerment in terms of skills training in the area of making pastries and phone repairs. I will lobby to the relevant state agencies to help renovate roads and hospitals, which will be his major focus.
A number of youth in the area have already undertaken training in the making of pastries and phone repairs but to be set up to start their own business.
Students who are interested in going back to technical school would be supported to pursue courses in electrical engineering and other relevant academic courses.
He advised the youth to focus on their education, stay determined and desist from doing things that would destroy their lives.
Mr. Ernest Adomako urged the youth in the constituency to take advantage of the impending free skill training programme sponsored by him to empower themselves.
The Parliamentary Candidate for National Democratic Congress (NDC), Okaikoi South Constituency lauded John Mahama's 24 hour economy initiative, saying it is a fantastic idea and would employ a lot of unemployed youth in the country and improve the economy.
