Desist from politicizing Techiman South Election violence to score cheap political points. Victims and Families of deceased Persons warn politicians.
Victims and Families of deceased persons in the 2020 Techiman South Constituency Election Violence in the Bono East Region have warned the NPP and NDC to desist from taking advantage of the unfortunate incident to score cheap political points.
As our cherished listeners may recall, two (2) Persons lost their lives and others got injured due to reactions by some Persons after declaration of results for the Techiman South 2020 Parliamentary Elections which led to Security Officers firing gunshots at the coalition center (Bononkyempem Hall).
Addressing a Press conference in Techiman today, Illiasu Sulemana popularly known as "Oboot" one of the Persons who sustained gunshots reiterated that they are not happy about the constant reference of the issue by Politicians as that only attempts to score cheap Political capital as neither the Government nor NDC has shown any genuine intentions to seek justice for them.
For her part, Hawa Musah popularly known as "Mma Baby" biological Mother of one of the deceased Persons revealed that it was obvious the NDC leadership care less about the plight of the affected families and clarified that neither the Party nor their Candidate has been supporting the Victims as falsely speculated therefore cautioned everyone to stay off this issue and give the departed souls some respect and the families peace of mind as well.
