The Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) has closed down the activities of three cement assembling organizations because of the utilization of sub-par materials in their cement creation. Director General of the GSA, Prof. Alex Dodoo, in a meeting, says the activity was to address the public authority's interests about principles, quality confirmation, and natural shields in cement creation.

Two supervisors of Kumasi cement Ghana have been captured by authorities of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and trade standards inspectors of the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and exchange guidelines monitors of the Ghana Standard Authority (GSA).

The two, Huang Guangshun and Tooth Yuan, advertising chiefs of KCG, were captured at the processing company, close to Ejisu in the Ashanti District last Tuesday night.

The capture comes after the processing plant was viewed as delivering cement with unsatisfactory natural substances, regardless of being prohibited from working by the GSA.

Last week, the GSA shut down the tasks of Xin A Protected cement Ghana Ltd, Kumasi cement Ghana Ltd and Unicem cement Ghana Ltd after their licenses had been repudiated for involving mediocre materials in cement creation.

The Ashanti Provincial Director of the GSA, Dr Samuel K. Frimpong, who revealed the subtleties of the capture to the Day to day Realistic, said the organization continued to work disregarding the power's order to stop activities.

"They professed to have been approached to continue to create by an anonymous top government official yet we acted per the law and got them captured," he said.

Dr Frimpong said the manufacturing company had now been locked under a GSA seal as the indictment of the captured authorities initiated.

"They are still in care," Dr Frimpong told the Day to day Realistic last Wednesday evening.

Undertaking

In the mean time, authorities from Xin A Protected cement Ghana Ltd and Unicem cement Ghana Ltd marked an endeavor at the administrative center of the GSA last Tuesday to "stick to determined quality principles in cement assembling".

They have promised to, among others, "consent to every administrative norm and necessities administering cement assembling in Ghana."

"Our cycles will line up with the rules set by the Ghana Guidelines Authority," they insisted.

The GSA is, be that as it may, yet to approve the resumption of the activities of the two organizations.

More activity

The Priest of Exchange and Industry, K. T. Hammond, last Monday let the media know that the conclusion of the concrete processing plants was important for a stupendous get to brace down on inadequate concrete creation the nation over.

He said the move was an impression of what the service planned to do this year in the space of principles implementation.

"Since I came to the service, I have been getting reports and have been frightened by the degree of trouble in the concrete business and I need to smooth out it," the clergyman said.

Ms Hammond added that an Official Instrument, known as the GSA cement Assembling Guidelines, would be laid before parliament to direct tasks in the business.

The Chief General of the GSA, Teacher Alex Dodoo, let the Day to day Realistic in a meeting know that comparable captures would be made at whatever other processing plant where creation went on without authorisation.

He said the activities of the GSA were in accordance with the arrangements of Area 44 of the GSA Act.

Prof. Dodoo said the not entirely set in stone to guarantee fair exchange relied on adjustment to guidelines to guarantee that the nation was serious, particularly in the assembling business.

As of now, the GSA and the service have reported the suspension of new concrete industrial facility development, forthcoming a smoothed out license issuance process by administrative foundations.

The President of the Office of Cement Makers, Ghana (COCMAG), Fire up. Dr George Dawson-Ahmoah, commended the GSA for "the striking and quick move" which would go far to carry mental soundness into the business.

He let the Everyday Realistic in a meeting know that COCMAG was teaming up with the Service of Exchange and Industry and the GSA to foster ideal climate, security and concrete quality guidelines, and to battle unjustifiable exchange rehearses when they emerge.

Fire up. Dr Dawson-Ahmoah said the recharged authorization drive of the GSA would guarantee the development of the cementbusiness.
