Call Your Men To Order To Stop Intimidating My Town Folks, Asamoah Gyan's Manager to IGP.

The Manager of Ghanaian former professional footballer, striker and a former captain of the Ghana national team, the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan, whose manager is by name Mr. Samuel Anim Addo has made a passionate appeal to the head of the police. He called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. Akufo Dampare to call his men in the service at Kwahu Osubeng to order. Mr. Samuel Anim Addo said that the IGP should tell his men to stop intimidating his town folks in the ongoing fight against illegal Mining popularly known as Galamsey.

The Youth in Kwahu Osubeng in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region called on the manager of the football professional, a native of the town to add his voice to the intimidation mated out on them by the men in the police service over their refusal to accept the operation of illegal Mining (Galamsey) in the community.

The people in Osubeng vehemently have countlessly  opposed to illegal Mining and as a result according to them the maltreatment by the police is something bothering them.

Adding his voice, Mr. Anim Addo called on the IGP to come over and have a first hand information about the issues or better still call for report on those who have been arrested so far in the issue of Galamsey in the area.

On the part of the chiefs who are behind pushing for the operation of Galamsey in the area for their own parochial interest should be ashamed of themselves for maltreating their own people for fighting against this bad menace of galamsey in the area.

The traders in the area who spoke to the media said the area is now calm for their business as compared to the past.

Their comments came at the back of assertion that there's tension at  Kwahu Osubeng which calls for police to beef up security in the area.

But traders refuted that they are executing their business freely without any impediment.
