Black Sherif is leveling up! The reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) artiste of the year, has hinted at a temporary hiatus from the music scene.
The 21-year-old singer cum rapper expressed his intention to pursue further education and delve into a new skill after the release of his much-anticipated Sophomore album.
Black Sherif took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle to share his future plans with his fans.
In a tweet, the Yaya crooner wrote, "[I] Need to get this album out and go back to school to learn how to make clothes."
Mohammed Ismail Sherif, widely known as Black Sherif rose to prominence in 2021 with the release of his track First Sermon in May, capturing the attention of music enthusiasts.
Following this initial success, he unveiled the highly anticipated 'Second Sermon' in July, further solidifying his position in the music scene.
Notably, the remix of Second Sermon featured the Nigerian artiste Burna Boy, adding an international flair to Black Sherif's already impressive repertoire.
He is also the winner of the Best International Flow award at this year's BET
Without a doubt the rapper has made unimaginable waves with his style.
The exciting delivery from the young star has also made him a hot pick for collaborations both locally and internationally.
Need to get this album out and go back to school to learn how to make clothes.
It's as if the "Blacko effect" has gotten so prevalent that his “seniors” in the game are even striking while the iron is hot to have a collabo with him.
