Former Blues star Pat Nevin has informed Chelsea that their £1 billion team is still "two seasons" away from making it into the Champions League.

The Blues have repeatedly smashed British transfer records and lavished cash, but their performance has remained resolutely subpar. Despite being brought on board for astronomical numbers, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Mykhailo Mudryk have not lived up to the expectations placed on them. Their most recent loss to Manchester United has only made their difficulties worse, as Mauricio Pochettino is unable to find a solution for their growing list of problems.

 

Tenth-place Chelsea is 11 points behind fourth-place Manchester City, and former Blues player Nevin thinks the West London team will need to wait a few more years to be competitive in the Champions League again.
