Thank you Ghanaians, Afua Asantewaa, without you, it would not have been possible.
The Ghanaian woman who gained international attention for her singing marathon attempt at a Guinness World Record, Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum, has conveyed her sincere gratitude to Ghanaians for their overwhelming support over the past five days.
At 126 hours and 52 minutes this morning, Afua called it quits on her singa-thon due to medical advice from her team.
Afua said in a Facebook post that she was able to accomplish the accomplishment because of the love and prayers of Ghanaians.
A portion of the post says, "Your love, dedication, inspiration, and prayers gave me the strength to get on my feet every time and keep going for this long."

At 126 hours and 52 minutes on Friday morning, Afua Asantewaa's sing-a-thon came to an end. Dr. Grace Buckman, the head of the medical team, gave an explanation, saying that the project was halted due to real health concerns.
