Sam George defended Stonebwoy as he did motorcycle antics on the field at Accra Stadium.

Sam George, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, has defended reggae dancehall performer Stonebwoy against claims that the Accra Sports Stadium's surface was damaged during his Bhim Nation show on December 23.

In a post on X, the MP said that since the musician had paid to use the venue, the government should have been in charge of keeping the stadium in good condition and that the artist was not accountable for its upkeep.

Thus, he labeled as "unintelligent" anyone who held the artist responsible for the stadium's condition.

"To everyone chatting about the pitch and everything following the @stonebwoy show, you don't seem very smart.

Did you think he would go conduct rehabilitation on grass? In what way did he compensate the National Sports Authority?

"Concerts are held every off-season at Wembley, Emirates, Old Trafford and other stadia," he stated.
Sam George, on the other hand, accused the National Sports Authority of failing to maintain the field despite its resources.

He demanded responsibility and chastised the NSA Director General for allegedly making false comments to Parliament.

Some motorcycle riders were seen performing crazy stunts on the field during the Bhim concert, which led to the devastation of the grass.

Some questioned why the motorbikes, which were a feature of a motorbike performance at the event, were permitted to be on the pitch.

Before the year concludes, the location will host two additional concerts.

It's true that none of the people discussing the pitch and everything that happened following the @stonebwoy concert sound particularly smart. Did you think he would go conduct rehabilitation on grass? He paid the National Sports Authority, but why?

Every off-season, Wembley, Emirates, Old Trafford, and other stadiums host concerts. There, the managers apply their knowledge. The NSA director general, who deceived Parliament earlier this year, is not exempt from this criticism.

When I queried him about pitch covers, which are used to shield the grass in other areas of stadiums when non-football activities take place, he testified before the Public Accounts Committee under oath that they possess and utilise them.

The fact that none was used last Friday demonstrates that the NSA DG has lied under oath once more. Not the first time for him. If you're angry with him, it's because he didn't complete the work and still was paid for December.
