Celebrities and politicians alike have descended upon Tamale's Modern City Hotel in the Northern Region to lend their support to Failatu Abdul Razak, a Ghanaian chef who is vying for the title of longest cooking marathon held by the Guinness World Record holder.

On January 1, 2024, at midnight, Failatu started her cook-a-thon to cook for over 120 hours.

Ghanaian artist Kwabena Kwabena was among the celebs who showed up to support Chef Failatu on the first day of the event.

Actor Yaw Dabo, from Ghana, also expressed his support and urged other celebrities to help Chef Failatu in her endeavors.

Along with the celebrities, legislators such as Tamale South member of parliament Haruna Iddrisu and Tamale Central member Ibrahim Murtala Muhammad were there.

They wished Chef Failatu Abdul Razak well in her endeavors and commended her for her effort.

Concerning the competition:

Another Ghanaian has begun an attempt to break another Guinness World Record, following the official conclusion of media personality Afua Asantewaa Aduonum's sing-a-thon attempt a few days ago.
While countless numbers of people entered 2024 at places of worship and churches, others did it in entertainment centers or with their loved ones.

A chef named Failatu Abdul Razak has begun an endeavor to surpass the existing Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon up north.

Her goal is to complete a 120-hour cook-off, which will take place at Tamale's Modern City Hotel.

The state broadcaster GTV first released videos of Failatu and her helpers in their glass-shielded cooking setting, which was branded with Chef Faila's likeness.

In 2023, Cook-a-thon gained popularity as Nigerian chef Hilda Baci shattered the previous global record. But months later, an Irish chef deposed her.

For 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds, Alan Fisher cooked.

Shizzybanks.com, the country's top digital news outlet, and the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital are launching a vigorous campaign to make sure parliament passes laws that will govern organ donation, organ harvesting, and organ transplantation in the nation.
