Entertainers who sought miracles in TB Joshua’s Synagogue.
The media has been ablaze with opinions regarding the disputes surrounding the late cleric since the release of a documentary by the British Broadcasting Corporation's "Africa Eye" earlier this week about the late preacher, Prophet TB Joshua, of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.
The late pastor was accused in the three-part series of torturing and raping some of his church members. Furthermore, several of the prophet's miracles were allegedly faked.
Saturday Beats notes that several performers have visited the cathedral throughout the years for various purposes, even as the issue rages on.
Well-known actor Jim Iyke paid a visit to the SCOAN in 2013. At the time, a video went viral in which Iyke was allegedly being "delivered" by a demonic spirit. The actor's life was purportedly being tormented by the spirit, who was purportedly communicating through him and threatening to ruin Joshua.
Iyke, however, said in a later interview that he was desperate and that he had been told to accompany his sick mother to the church for her to heal. "I will never be desperate again," he declared. I went there out of desperation, thinking the man of God would heal his mother.
Hanks Anuku, an actor, claimed to have been brought to a church where he was purportedly cured of a mental ailment. But during 2023, images and videos of Anuku looking disheveled appeared on social media, raising concerns from some of his followers and coworkers. Rapper Munachi Abii, a former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, is also said to have met Joshua at the church, though her motivation was never made public.
Victor AD, a musician, had previously stated that TB Joshua had cured him of a skin condition when he was just six years old. AD used social media this week to reiterate the influence Joshua had on his family, saying that the late prophet healed his mother from a gunshot wound to her hand and cured his sister of blindness. Following the publication of the documentary, Kesiena Adjekpovu, commonly known as Kess, who was a previous Big Brother Naija participant, also vowed to support the late Joshua without wavering. "TB Joshua is still my pastor," he wrote on X. BBC ought to give it another go.
Chukwuemeka Okoye, commonly known as Frodd, is another former housemate of BBN who claimed that the late Joshua offered him a scholarship to the university and a daily payment of N8000 in 2010.
Veteran actress Fausat Balogun, popularly known as Madam Saje, also vowed to back the deceased prophet. Sharing a video of the deceased cleric's lecture, she expressed her belief that his influence and the struggle he spearheaded to improve people's lives could not be eclipsed by any
