Robinho, whose real name is Robson de Souza, is a retired Brazilian professional football player. He was born on January 25, 1984, in São Vicente, Brazil. Known for his exceptional dribbling and technical abilities, Robinho played as an attacking midfielder or forward during his career.

Robinho began his career at Santos FC, one of Brazil's most successful clubs. At the age of 18, he made his professional debut and quickly rose to prominence. In his early years at Santos, he formed a formidable partnership with Diego, another talented Brazilian player. Together, they led the club to win the Campeonato Brasileiro in 2002.

After his impressive performances at Santos, Robinho caught the attention of several top European clubs. In 2005, he joined Real Madrid for a transfer fee of €24 million, becoming the first Brazilian player to wear the iconic number 10 shirt at the club since Pelé. During his time at Real Madrid, Robinho won two La Liga titles and one Supercopa de España.

In 2008, Robinho made a highly anticipated move to Manchester City for a British record transfer fee of £32.5 million. His time at Manchester City was marked by inconsistency and mixed performances, but he still managed to showcase his quality on occasion.

After a two-year spell in England, Robinho returned to his native Brazil on loan to Santos. He helped Santos win the Copa Libertadores in 2011, their first continental title since Pelé was part of the team in the 1960s.

Robinho's career then took him to AC Milan, where he spent five seasons from 2010 to 2015. Although injuries hindered his progress at times, he played a key role in helping the team win the Serie A title in the 2010-2011 season.

Following his stint at AC Milan, Robinho had brief spells at Guangzhou Evergrande in China, Atlético Mineiro in Brazil, and Istanbul Basaksehir in Turkey. However, his career began to wind down as he struggled with injuries and inconsistent performances.

In terms of his international career, Robinho represented Brazil at various levels. He made his senior debut in 2003 and went on to earn over 100 caps. Robinho played in several major tournaments, including the Copa America and FIFA World Cup.

Unfortunately, Robinho's career was marred by a controversy off the field. In 2017, he was found guilty of sexual assault in Italy and sentenced to nine years in prison. However, he remained free pending appeal.

In conclusion, Robinho had a career filled with ups and downs. While he showcased immense talent and achieved success at various clubs, his career was overshadowed by inconsistencies and controversies. Nevertheless, he will be remembered as one of Brazil's promising football talents who mesmerized fans with his skillful play.
