Soon, work will begin on a project to elevate the Ghanaian's Centre of Excellence in Prampram up to global standards. The endeavor entails erecting a 40-bed lodging building and installing amenities like an exercise room, swimming pool, and medical clinic.
During the MEET THE PRESS event in Kumasi on Wednesday, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, who serves as President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), expressed his thoughts.
Funding for the project will be sourced from Ghana's involvement in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 competition. The objective of the GFA is to upgrade and expand facilities at our center, allowing us to provide better infrastructure for training and camping purposes while accommodating our national teams.
President Simeon-Okraku has announced that we have received clearance to invest in a 40-bed accommodation facility located in Prampram. Construction is set to begin soon, and the establishment will boast modern amenities such as a gymnasium, swimming pool, and medical center dedicated to serving our footballers and athletes who use our Prampram Technical Center.
He added that work on the fencing of the entire land area will commence this year, and it will be completed very soon.
The Technical Centre of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is known as The Ghanaians Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE). It was constructed in 2004 under FIFA Goal Project and bestowed to the Association four years later. This centre stands tall on a sprawling 68-acre land, situated in Miotso within Ningo/Prampram District of Greater Accra Region - it serves as a hub for all football-related activities.
Not only does this Centre deliver state-of-the-art facilities but also provides an ideal setting encompassed with scenic beauty conducive enough to serve both camping purposes or even just mental escapades
For the completion of the project and any enquires attached will be updated to you stay tuned and stay safe your writer ??©?Nana Nyame
