Alhaji Mustapha Alhasan, the Constituency Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Manhyia South, is being sought after due to the circulation of a video.

After a video emerged on social media showing him making threats of violence during the 2024 elections if there's any attempt to manipulate the vote, the Ghana Police Service released a wanted notice for him.

The individual who is under suspicion is recorded cautioning the Electoral Commission (EC), the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), and all parties engaged in the electoral procedure.

Alhaji Mustapha can be heard in the video, which was posted on Twitter by GHOne TV, expressing his thoughts on the situation. He warns the Electoral Commission officer, the woman, and the NPP, stating that if they have intentions to engage in electoral fraud, he and his supporters will demonstrate how an election should be won.

I am conveying to them that we have officially notified John Mahama that regardless of his preferences, no matter where he may venture, we are thoroughly prepared and ready to teach him the art of winning an election. r>. We have previously emerged victorious in an election against the NPP, and we will prove our capability again. According to the NDC organizer, if you have the audacity, we will kill you, and this will lead to a war between us.

He further stated, "We are conscious... if you intend to fraudulently take control of the elections, we will make it known. Similarly, if you have thoughts of withholding power in the event of our victory, we are fully aware and will make it known," he further emphasized.

In the meantime, as specified in a report from starrfm.com.gh, the NDC leaders in the Ashanti Region have reacted to the request made by the Crime Office of the Central Command, affirming that they will deliver Alhaji Mustapha Alhasan on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

According to reports, it is alleged that the accused refused to provide specific information, claiming that the political party has prohibited him from interacting with the press.

However, he revealed to journalist Ivan Heathcote–Fumador that he was incited by a New Patriotic Party (NPP) member who argued that the NPP would not be foolish enough to give power to an NDC government.

I've heard that this individual is affiliated with Asenso Boakye's group and works as an educator. r>. He intentionally provoked me when he said 'if President J.A.' He recalled that Kuffour made a foolish decision by transferring power to the NDC, but President Akufo-Addo will not make the same mistake by handing power to John Mahama.

According to reports, Alhaji Mustapha Alhasan claimed that he didn't realize he was being recorded on video when he got angry and involved in a playful argument with the alleged NPP supporter.

In an interview with Starr FM, he expressed his sense of betrayal due to the video being manipulated to only show his part of the argument, while purposely excluding all the provocations from his opponent that were cunningly edited out, making him look bad.
