DUMSOR IS THE REASON SHE WAS DISQUALIFIED- AFUA ASANTEWAA SAYS

Famed Guinness World Record attempter Afua Asantewaa has hinted at a possible explanation for her disqualification. If her attempt was disqualified for any reason, she claims "Dumsor" could be the explanation. The woman who attempted to break the Guinness World Record for sing-a-thon revealed in an interview with United Showbiz that she had a plant nearby before she began her effort but that it was removed the second she began. She said that a generous stranger had volunteered to give them a plant, but that the plant had died due to the constant turning of the lights.

Because she was preoccupied with her sing-a-thon attempt, she claims that her management team would be the most qualified to provide further details, although she did mention that, aside from the lights going on and off, there was a period when they were off for around an hour. A plant had been removed from Akwaaba village. One kind soul, nevertheless, funded us with a generator. On one occasion, the light went out and caught fire as they were turning it back on.

"An electrocardiogram was found. In my estimation, it was around ten minutes before the power went off. Since I would be utterly confused about the optimal time frame for its occurrence if you were to ask me, I believe GTA and my team would be the most qualified individuals to respond. The timing, the DJ—everything was off. For one hour, there was no illumination. You did ask that while I was under the impression that the effort had failed because the lights went out, didn't you? Keeping going was the driving force behind our endeavor. Allow me to make a point... "I could have stopped even when my voice went off," she started. "With all my humanity, I felt it, but you know, there are two sides to every story, the online sensation says. As I uttered my last words, I couldn't speak anymore because my voice went out. That was the first one I came across, and I ended up taking more than five five-minute breaks with it. Whatever the difficulty, all I know is that you should try to complete the task. Everyone who went inside the container did it," she said.

Afua Asantewaa of Ghana was unable to beat the record for the longest singing marathon she attempted in December 2023, according to the Guinness World Records announcement made public on Friday, February 23, 2024.
