It will be Vice President Mahamudu BaWumia who will spearhead the New Patriotic Party in the upcoming December 2024 elections. It will be Bawumia's maiden appearance on the ballot as a candidate. Also, the governing New Patriotic Party is making history by nominating a candidate from the north as their party's ticket. But Bawumia must first face off against the leader of the largest opposition party, John Mahama, to become president. The former president has lost the previous two elections and will do everything it can to change the narrative, so defeating her will not be simple.
The governing party has had Kevin Taylor as one of its most vocal detractors. Based in the US, the Ghanaian journalist has been openly critical of the administration since taking office in 2017. If the NDC had come to power and mismanaged the country as the NPP did, the presenter claims he would have dealt with them the same. A Facebook post by Kevin Taylor claims that he had a vision in which Vice President Bawumia was seen carrying a black casket as if God had opened his eyes. An earlier statement of this kind was made by Kevin. Even though the vision's precise meaning is unclear, it's clear that Bawumia is under a dismal cloud, and this certainly doesn't bode well.
Kevin Taylor continued by saying that he, too, witnessed the angel of death circling Owusu Bempah. It is well known that Kevin Taylor is an opponent of the ruling party; therefore, his remarks are notable for that. Who knows if Kevin had a vision and saw these events coming or if he is simply trying to sow panic and anxiety due to his dislike of the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia-led governments? Many Ghanaians could not stop talking about what Kelvin said about the Vice President. What do you also think?
